It has become imperative that I outline in detail my Shipping Policy due to the changes made by USPS May 14 2007, and others in 2008, in Pricing and Packaging Requirements.  I have tried to select the most economical shipping choices on all of my items.  Sometimes there is only a .35 cent difference between choices available so I have chosen the choice that provides a faster ship time with Delivery Confirmation/Package Tracking.  Shipping prices are set by the USPS.  In the case of First Class Shipping, available on some of my items, these items may not qualify for Delivery Confirmation/Package Tracking.  I have always gone the extra mile in making sure everyone has the opportunity to track their item after it is delivered to the carrier, but with the new changes USPS has made I can no longer offer package tracking on the First Class FREE SHIPPING available on selected items.  In order to do so I would have to purchase additional packaging material or purchase more expensive shipping containers.  These items will now only feature a standard envelope and postage for a First Class Stamp (at this writing .42 cents).  If you are concerned about the safety of your item I suggest purchasing Shipping Insurance.

It pangs me to stoop to this level, I have always taken pride in the fact that I offered "top notch" customer service despite no cost paid by the buyer for packaging and shipping, a cost I paid out of my pocket in hopes that I would receive positive feedback and hopefully a repeat customer.  As things stand now this strategy has not been fruitful.  And even with minimally price items I have forfeited my profit in order to provide this service.

In some cases your item may include a piece of Styrofoam in order for me to meet the new USPS Packaging Requirement.  As you can see, I regret to inform you, that the customer service in shipping that I have previously offered is being undercut by the New USPS Shipping Changes.  These changes have also resulted in higher shipping charges overall (manifest in the Shipping Calculator offered in my listings).  As far as Shipping Insurance goes, you may insure any item purchased.  I have an independent company that I can purchase insurance through for all items including the items with Free Shipping, just select the option to insure your item.  Your total at checkout will include this fee and I will purchase insurance for you.  I hope this will help you understand my position on revising my shipping choices and policies related to my items.

I take pride in shipping. I use computer printed self stick labels for accuracy, all clothing is wrapped in plastic to help prevent water damage, posters are shipped in sturdy containers. I go to great lengths to pack items securely, many times at my added expense. Buy with confidence.
