Shipping Policy

Shipping Details 
It has become imperative that I outline in detail my Shipping Policy due to the changes made by USPS May 14 2007, and others in 2008, in Pricing and Packaging Requirements. I have tried to select the most economical shipping choices on all of my items. Sometimes there is only a .35 cent difference between choices available so I have chosen the choice that provides a faster ship time with Delivery Confirmation/Package Tracking. Shipping prices are set by the USPS. In the case of First Class Shipping, available on some of my items, these items may not qualify for Delivery Confirmation/Package Tracking. I have always gone the extra mile in making sure everyone has the opportunity to track their item after it is delivered to the carrier, but with the new changes USPS has made I can no longer offer package tracking on the First Class FREE SHIPPING available on selected items. In order to do so I would have to purchase additional packaging material or purchase more expensive shipping containers. These items will now only feature a standard envelope and postage for a First Class Stamp (at this writing .42 cents). If you are concerned about the safety of your item I suggest purchasing Shipping Insurance.
It pangs me to stoop to this level, I have always taken pride in the fact that I offered "top notch" customer service despite no cost paid by the buyer for packaging and shipping, a cost I paid out of my pocket in hopes that I would receive positive feedback and hopefully a repeat customer. As things stand now this strategy has not been fruitful. And even with minimally price items I have forfeited my profit in order to provide this service.
In some cases your item may include a piece of Styrofoam in order for me to meet the new USPS Packaging Requirement. As you can see, I regret to inform you, that the customer service in shipping that I have previously offered is being undercut by the New USPS Shipping Changes. These changes have also resulted in higher shipping charges overall (manifest in the Shipping Calculator offered in my listings). As far as Shipping Insurance goes, you may insure any item purchased. I have an independent company that I can purchase insurance through for all items including the items with Free Shipping, just select the option to insure your item. Your total at checkout will include this fee and I will purchase insurance for you. I hope this will help you understand my position on revising my shipping choices and policies related to my items.
I take pride in shipping. I use computer printed self stick labels for accuracy, all clothing is wrapped in plastic to help prevent water damage, posters are shipped in sturdy containers. I go to great lengths to pack items securely, many times at my added expense. Buy with confidence.

How To Leave An Accurate Feedback Rating For eBay Sellers

Very UnreasonableBased on the criteria above, It would be normal for a buyer to assume that a rating of 4
's is a good rating for the seller.
Based on the above definitions, it would mean that:- the description was accurate
- you were satisfied with the communication
- you felt the item was shipped quickly at a reasonable cost
's can have a significant negative impact on sellers and the eBay community as a whole because eBay has structured the system to reward sellers with over a 4.5 average, and to penalize sellers with under a 4.5 average. Yet from the wording of the allowed ratings a buyer would never know this and most would naturally assume that a 4 star rating is a very good rating. After all, staying in a 4 star resort is considered to be very good in the real world and 5 star resorts are rare (and extremely expensive).
If a seller has a 4.6 or lower rating, eBay will penalize that seller by charging them higher fees, and disadvantaging that seller’s items in search.
What does this mean to you, as a buyer?
Unfortunately, what this can mean is higher prices. The more fees eBay sellers pay, the more they must charge for their items. When a seller’s items are disadvantaged in search, sales slow and prices increase.Sellers understand they must earn your positive feedback and want to hear from you if you feel that the transaction was less than a positive experience. We strongly encourage you to email the seller with any problem and allow them the opportunity to resolve your issue. The IMA believes that people are basically good and that most problems can be worked out amicably between the two parties.
A Note about the Two Shipping Stars:
Shipping and handling charges are the only star rating you know at the time of purchase, as the charges are specified upfront. It should be noted that sellers have little or no control over what the shipping carriers charge for transporting items. Some very large companies receive large discounts on shipping, but very few eBay sellers receive discounts. Please keep in mind that there is really no such thing as free shipping. It is paid to the shipping company by the seller, who must then incorporate this cost into their prices. Since the buyer is aware of the shipping and handling charges before purchasing the item, the most important points to consider when leaving a star rating for Shipping and Handling Charges are not the actual charges, but the following:
Did the seller:
- Quote the shipping price in the original auction listing?
- Ship using the method stated in the auction?
- Pack the shipment safely, using appropriate packing materials?
- Charge a reasonable shipping price, compared to other online sellers?
Important Points to Consider when leaving a Star Rating for Shipping Time:
The most important consideration for the Shipping Time star is when was the item actually shipped, not when was the item delivered. This is particularly true for International orders, which are often delayed by Customs or Postal Inspectors upon entry into your country. You can easily assess when the package was shipped by the postmark or other similar date marking, and rate the seller based on this date, not the overall delivery date. If you require your item be expedited, we recommend contacting your seller before issuing payment. In many cases they can offer overnight or expedited shipping at an additional cost.
Final Comments:Leaving a neutral or negative feedback, or leaving DSR scores of less than 5, is not the best way to get a seller to fix a problem since these ratings currently cannot be removed or changed. Once they are left, eBay recalculates the feedback percentage that represent this seller's reputation. Again, if you are having difficulties with the item you received, please give the seller the chance to make things right before leaving neutral or negative feedback, or a lower than 5 DSR rating.

Self Improvement

Hello all!
Last time I talked about improving by little business and have set to updating old and outdated listings and putting up some of my store inventory up for bid. Now that I have learned some new "tricks of the trade" in designing my listings it has made it quite fun! I still have some listings to improve upon and am excited about some of the re-designed listings I've done, but still have a few to go.
I would like to thank those who checked in to read my blog and passed on encouraging words and well wishes, it's nice to know there are people out there like you!
This time around I would like to focus on self improvement. I know people like me always include in their New Years resolution a commitment to health and fitness so I have listed several items that might help you in your quest for improving yours. Check out my Fitness & Exercise department in my store. Some of those items are unused items from Michael Thurmond's 6 Week Body Makeover, Women's Haynes Her Way Workout Shorts, Frank Campitelli's Advanced Nutrition and 10 Minute Workout Program For Women, The Ultimate Weight Solution Plus the Food Guide by Dr. Phil McGraw, and a great 20 minute workout video by Cathy Lee Crosby.
